Terms of use

These terms govern the Acto website and service: a system for business owners to capture, organize, and follow up on tasks in one place. Using the service means you agree to these terms and the privacy policy.

Acto is operated from Israel and offered to business owners worldwide. These terms govern the software service. Paid Pro purchases, when billing is enabled, are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record - see billing, cancellation & refunds.

1. Who this is for

Acto is for a business owner (or someone they authorize) to run their own work. One account equals one business. Contacts in the system are not users and do not get account access - only a public link to a specific task, if you send it to them.

2. Account

Sign-in is through Google only. You are responsible for your Google account and for actions taken from the connected account.

3. What the service does - and does not

• Capture text into an inbox, organize by today / inbox / contacts.
• Create a share link so someone can mark a task done without an account, and cancel a task from your account.
• Optional helpers to send that link (for example WhatsApp, the system share sheet, or copy).

The service is not WhatsApp, does not read your chats, and does not send messages on your behalf. Message content and recipients are your responsibility.

4. Core product, founders, trial, and payment

The core product currently includes inbox capture, Today, tasks, contacts, and link sharing. Future advanced features are not automatically included in lifetime founder access.

• The first 100 business owners who actually start working - they sign up and add a first inbox item - receive the core product free for life (“founder”), as long as the account is not deleted.
• Everyone else gets a 14-day trial of the core product. After that, a paid Pro subscription is required to keep editing once billing is enabled. Until billing is enabled, the service is not blocked only because the trial ended.
• The listed Pro price is about $9/month USD (or an equivalent in another currency). The final price, tax, and currency are shown at Lemon Squeezy checkout. Regional pricing may apply when enabled.
• Lemon Squeezy - merchant of record: when you buy Pro, the payment transaction (collection, receipt/invoice, sales tax/VAT, payment refunds) is between you and Lemon Squeezy under the Lemon Squeezy buyer terms. Yaakov Aharon Walles provides the Acto software under these terms.
• Cancel a recurring subscription from Manage billing in Settings or by emailing office@haindex.co.il. Details: billing, cancellation & refunds.

5. Cancellation

You can stop using the service at any time. Cancel a Pro subscription through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal (Manage billing) or by emailing office@haindex.co.il. Payment refunds are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record - see billing, cancellation & refunds.

If mandatory consumer law in your country gives you cancellation or refund rights, those apply alongside Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms.

6. Your content

Tasks, notes, and contacts belong to you. You grant us a limited license to store and display them only to operate the service.

7. Prohibited use

• Illegal use, harassment, fraud, or harming our systems.
• Scraping or placing unusual load on the service.
• Trying to bypass permissions, including faking a founder slot.

8. Availability and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to direct damages caused by our breach, and not to indirect loss. If a cap applies, it will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event - or a symbolic USD 30 if nothing was paid. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Intellectual property

The Acto name, logo, design, and code belong to the operator or its licensors.

10. Changes

We may change features, prices (except founder core access), and these terms. Material changes will be dated on this page.

11. Governing law

These terms and your use of the Acto software (not your payment transaction with Lemon Squeezy) are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Courts in Israel have jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer or local law in your country requires otherwise.
